Popular Aussie Paul Tapner and Prince Mayo win The Irish Field CCI3* at Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair in association with Horse Sport Ireland
The crowds roared as Australia’s Paul Tapner riding Fred and Penny Barker’s Irish Bred Prince Mayo produced a clear round of jumping to win The Irish Field CCI3* at Tattersalls International Horse Trials. Tapner and Prince Mayo, who were initially in third place after dressage, moved up to second after cross-country when going clear and by giving an exhibition of jumping in the main arena, moved up to first to win the class on his original score of 44.80.
In second place was Great Britain’s Flora Harris riding Cooley Lord Lux who moved up from eleventh place after their dressage to finish on 60.90 and in third place was yet another Great British representative, Michael Owen and the Highland Prince who finished the competition with a score of 62.90.
