Meet Christa Dillon

Christa Dillon is a 34 year old sports horse producer based in the midlands of Ireland.

Mother of one small, but spectacular boy called Charlie, Christa together with her husband Niall farms a suckler herd of cattle in the Irish Midlands. They also run a haulage business and work as forage contractors during the summer months.

Christa organises training clinics twice a year with international event riders and uses these clinics as charity fundraisers. Having both groomed and ridden internationally, Christa has been fortunate enough to have trained with “some of the best in the business”. Producing young horses around a busy farm and a young family is not without its challenges, but Christa says that “ultimately it is rewarding!”

Christa is the brains behind the busy facebook group ‘Horsey Mum’s International’ and can be seen around and about on the circuit sporting her HMI fleecey head band. We love Christa’s ‘no-bullshit’ writing style, which combines opinion with humour… and a great deal of horse sense.
